Get Involved

The Ottawa Canadian Film Festival is a cultural, not-for-profit organization whose key mission is to promote and celebrate Canadian films and filmmakers.

We recently adapted our programming to COVID-19 shutdowns with the launch of online screenings and we intend use lessons learned through the process to plan hybrid physical/virtual festivals in the future.

We rely on a small team of volunteers to maximize our reach and we are always looking for people and organizations to collaborate with to further our mutual goals.

Volunteering is a great way to support Canadian filmmakers, connect with the community, to meet new people and to catch a great Canadian flick or two.

Volunteer Opportunities

Here are some of the opportunities available.  It’s not an exhaustive list.  Please contact us if you are interested in these opportunities or if you would like to pitch others.

Collaborate with us on a Screening

We are also seeking Collaborators for venues to host our OCanFilmFest Presents free short film screening series events.  To maximize access to these screenings we would like to make them free to attend.  As a result, we are seeking collaborators who have access to venues (conference rooms, auditoriums, coffee shops, pubs, for example)  that can be used to host these screenings throughout the city.  Venues with AV setups would be a bonus.  If you have a venue and you would like to collaborate with us on a screening, please contact us using the form below.
